At ‘Paterson Restorations’
I apply my personal skill and attention to detail,
to create a high quality
conservation and restoration service.
I have worked on furniture for over twenty years,
since gaining my degree in Furniture Design.
In 1992 I spent a year at West Dean College,
where I was awarded a Distinction for my
"Outstanding skill as a Craftsman and keen eye for colour."
I specialize in the restoration of Boulle, Marquetry, Fretwork and other intricate detailing.
Working in materials such as Abalone shell, Horn, Bone, Tortoiseshell, Ivory and Ivorine,
I also work in conjunction with the best skilled craftsmen in Upholstery,
Cane and Rush seating and Gilding as well and other specialists in the local area.
I have extensive experience of working on rare and valuable antique furniture and collections from clients such as Goodwood house, Uppark and The Fleming collection.
